What is a Mayor's Permit?
A Mayor's Permit, also known as a Business Permit or BPLO Permit, is a local government-issued license that authorizes your business to operate within a specific city or municipal jurisdiction in the Philippines. Issued by the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), this permit confirms payment of local business taxes and ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation, environmental regulations, and zoning laws. It is mandatory for all businesses and must be renewed annually, typically by January 20 each year.
