What is DTI Business Name Registration?

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Business Name Registration is a mandatory requirement for all sole proprietorships in the Philippines. Through the Business Name Registration System (BNRS), you can legally register your business name, ensuring it is unique, protected, and compliant with government regulations. This certificate is essential for obtaining other permits such as Mayor's Permit and BIR registration.

Required Information & Documents

• Valid Government-issued ID (Passport, Driver's License, UMID, National ID, PRC ID, Postal ID, Voter's ID, etc.)
• Personal Information – Full name, birthdate, citizenship, civil status, complete address, contact number, email
• Tax Identification Number (TIN)
• Complete Business Address (location where the business will operate)
• Business Name Options – At least 3-5 preferred names with:
  • Dominant Name (main/unique identifier)
  • Descriptor (aligned with Philippine Standard Industrial Classification)

For Foreign Nationals: Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) and authority/eligibility documents must be presented at a DTI office before proceeding with online registration.

For Recognized Refugees/Stateless Persons: Department of Justice (DOJ) recognition certificate must be presented at DTI before online processing.

How We Process Your Request

1. Submit Your Requirements Online – Log in to your account and upload all required documents and information through our secure e-Process portal.
2. Receive Your Unique QR Code – Once your submission is complete, the system will automatically generate a unique QR code for your application. This QR code serves as your reference for tracking and monitoring your registration progress.
3. Save and Use Your QR Code – Scan and save the QR code to your device. You can use this code to check your application status, receive updates, and communicate with our team about your registration.
4. We Process Your Application – Our team reviews your documents, verifies business name availability through DTI BNRS, and handles the complete registration process on your behalf.
5. Payment Processing – We process the registration fee (based on territorial scope) plus ₱30 DST within the required timeframe to ensure your application proceeds without delay.
6. Receive Your Certificate – Upon DTI approval, we download your Certificate of Business Name Registration (CBNR) and notify you via email. The certificate is valid for 5 years and will be made available through your client portal.
